About Kimberly Coney, MDIV, BCPC

With a compassionate heart, Kimberly has a passion to work holistically in the healing process to those who are broken, hurting and in need of spiritual renewing. Her own life experience allows her to work closely with individuals by showing them how they can transform their lives no matter what they’re encountering.

Kimberly Coney has over 12 years experience and is currently a Chaplain at UCLA medical center.

Before joining the Coastal Psychotherapy Team, Kimberly was a Resident Chaplain trained to provide Spiritual Care and counseling walking alongside parents, children, couples, families, and hospital staff.

She completed residency trainings at UCLA as a Chaplain and the Rock Church as a Care Counselor providing nouthetic (Bible Base Teaching) counseling to individuals, marriage & family in the following areas: anger, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and grief/loss. She provides premarital counseling in addition to officiating weddings.

Kimberly is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor with the Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counselors. (BCPPC).

She is also certified in the SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) pre-marital relationship assessment. She received her formal education at Arizona State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education (BAE). Upon completing her program of study, Kimberly received a Masters of Divinity (MDIV) degree in Family Pastoral Care and Counseling. Kimberly is a certified Professional Life Coach.
